Tribal tattoos designs for men are becoming more and more popular these days as we see famous people like David Beckam cover up their bodies with all manner of black and grey tribal designs.

I’m not sure how much these stars know of the history of the designs they are getting but it’s important to realise that many of these Maori and native Indian tribal tattoo first came about as a way for the different tribes to recognise each other.

So before you get inked with some tribal tat you have found in a gallery somewhere make sure that you know what the design means and that you are not going to offend anyone.
